It's located in a small town. It's quiet, most of the time. There are many stores, but there could be more open. Fortunately, there's a wide variety of items that you can find throughout the mall. There's also a movie cinema with an arcade and a couple of restaurants. And the maintenance workers are sweethearts...especially the Spanish gentleman...he's awesome. :-)
I see a lot of potential here and love to just go an walk around to see what stores are still thriving there. I strongly feel that with the right stores it could become a very live destination.
Most of the anchor stores are gone, and the small shops are struggling. Luckily Target, the cinemas, and Party City are doing well enough to keep the Square afloat. A large section of the parking lot is used as a commuter lot and as a launch spot for bus company casino tours. The mall roads and parking areas are also a useful route between Hazard Avenue and Elm Street.
Nice smaller shopping mall. Unfortunately, Sears and the other anchor left, so other retailers who are left are finding it difficult. Got some good deals. And Target is there too.
I honestly don’t know what the other reviewer is talking about the smell of poop all over the mall. I’ve been going here for years and that’s not the case at all. I’ve never heard anyone call it the poopmall either. Still, it is sad to see that plenty of stores I liked to go to have left this mall. There is a new big Party City that just opened though and they close later (especially for Halloween, as late as midnight) than the actual mall. They have their own entrance. I hope something occupies the big empty spaces Macy’s and Sears left behind.
